Hi, I’m Lauren.

My Story

I’m originally from New England and spent my first thirty years there loving both summer at the beach and the snowy winters, and then moved to Colorado seeking even higher mountains and brighter sunshine. When I’m not coaching, I’m equally an outdoor enthusiast and a homebody. I love camping, running, biking and skiing just as much as I love crocheting, reading, yoga and cooking. I share my life with Steve, my partner of 14 years, and Bodhi, our sweet 10 year old Labrador.

At university I took mostly business courses, but my favorite class was an exploration and analysis of Alfred Hitchcock films. After working a few entry level jobs post graduation, I landed at a burgeoning tech company with passionate leaders who had a grandiose vision for disrupting healthcare. We were scrappy and messy, but had the dot-com bubble and a chunk of capital fueling us, and we created what would become one of the top companies in the industry. I was employee number twenty-something, and now they are a multi-billion dollar company with over 5,000 employees worldwide. Starting from the bottom rung of the ladder, I spent my 22 years there working on just about every client-facing team there was, mastering the technology, witnessing the pain felt by everyone in the healthcare system of over-engineered processes and regulation, and tenaciously building an ROI for our services that could be proven consistently and over many years of complex change. My favorite part of it all was serving as a trusted advisor to our clients and my colleagues while fostering an environment for others to thrive.

Why I became a Coach

Becoming a coach is something I’ve wanted to pursue for many years, and to be on this journey now fills me with immense gratitude. It all started when I was introduced to coaching at a pivotal point in my career. Newly promoted and needing to live up to higher expectations in an increasingly competitive and volatile environment, I was one of the lucky few chosen to receive support from an external Executive Coach. Her approach was to, first and foremost, get to know me and gain my trust, and then she skillfully challenged assumptions I had of myself and others, helping me identify patterns of thinking and feeling that were going to sabotage my momentum and were exploiting my self-doubt. We tackled habits that I just couldn’t see for myself, and that were holding me back from potential I wasn’t even aware of. I knew, after working with her and feeling transformed, I wanted to become someone who could create that experience with others.
